Computers

Who is Gateway? Gateway Computers was founded in 1985 in Sioux City, Iowa, and is a true American success story. The company started with borrowed money from relatives, and today is the largest direct-market computer manufacturer in the world, with over 4.6 billion in sales for 1996. We have used Gateway computers in our business since 1990, and have first hand experience with their quality and service. When we decided to offer computers for sale, Gateway was the obvious choice.

We offer three basic computer systems, selected and configured by us for the highest possible performance and cost effectiveness. All three systems are Gateway computers backed by a three year warranty from Gateway. All of our systems include on site installation and training in the Denver metro area. We only sell complete systems that include installation and training, there is nothing else to buy, we provide printers, outlet strips, software, cabling, training, etc. System II and III also include data backup and power supply backup systems, a must for any serious computer user. Desk and chairs are also available. All systems come ready for Internet use.

System I

A low cost but very capable system, especially suited for students, home, and Internet use. Includes printer.

Installation and Training

On site Installation and 2 hours of on site training is included. Additional training is available at $40.00 per hour, minimum one hour billing. Note, installation and training location must be within a 30 mile radius of our business (metro Denver), or travel time will be billed at an additional cost.

Printers

We offer two printers, both manufactured by Hewlett Packard. We have selected these based on cost, speed, performance, and reliability. The ink jet printer can be used for all around black and white and color printing. The LaserJet is ideal for high volume very high quality b&w printing, We recommend purchasing both printers for ultimate capability. Cost includes installation, training, and cabling.

Hewlett Packard 890Cse Professional Series, color DeskJet printer. 9 pages per minute (b&w) and 5 in color. Manufacturers one year warranty. Total cost: $560.00 (does not include shipping charges or tax).

Hewlett Packard 6Lse LaserJet black & white printer. 6 pages per minute. Total cost: $560.00 (does not include shipping charges or tax).

Desk and Chair

Contemporary styled high quality computer desk, 60" X 30": $463.00 each (recommend two desks). 90 degree square corner connector (to connect two desks): $227.00. Mobile file cabinet, two drawer: $299.00

Networks

Consulting, sales, installation, training, and support services available for Novell, 3Com, and Microsoft Windows NT.

We utilize the Novell "Small Business Netware Advisor" software, to fully analyze and determine your needs and costs for networks. Whether you're planning a first network or adding to an existing one, whether there are already computers in the environment or not, the Novell Network Assistant will create a graphical diagram of all the elements--server, workstations, printers, CD-ROM drives, even Internet access connectors--in the network. It even builds a 'shopping list' as you work, keeping track of components and their approximate costs. Then it will help you analyze, adjust, and modify until the network satisfies your requirements. When it does, you can print both the diagram and shopping list.

In addition, the Network Advisor has a section to help you analyze the business and financial benefits of networking. You will answer a few questions, then evaluate the results to better analyze the business case. Taking this careful and thoughtful approach to an important investment will help assure a well-informed and prudent decision.

What type of network will I need for my business?

There are two basic types of small business networks: peer-to-peer and client-server. Programming and Consulting

Programming services for FilePro database software, and general computer related consulting services (including networks), available at $60.00 per hour. Training is available at $40.00 per hour. We will be glad to quote not to exceed amounts on a project by project basis.

Additional Requirements

1.) In order to use the modem that comes with your computer, a standard phone line will be required. You can use your existing line but it is not recommended, it is possible to spend hours at a time on the Internet. We recommend that you have a separate phone line installed for computer use. This line could also be used for a fax machine and/or a security system. Average monthly cost for an additional phone line is approx. $25.00 per month, plus installation. Contact your local phone company for more information.

Terms and Conditions

1.) Payment in full at time of order. We accept personal and company checks, American Express, Visa, and Mastercard.

2.) Delivery, one to two weeks.

3.) Freight and tax is not included. Estimated cost for computer system freight is $95.00. To estimate tax add on 8% (tax will vary based on your location).

4.) Customer must supply (or purchase from us) a suitable computer desk or table for the computer, a minimum size of 30" wide by 60" long is recommended, ideally two desks of this size with a corner section, and a two drawer file cabinet (built in or stand alone). It is also important to have a high quality ergonomic comfortable chair.
